Perhaps a luxury passenger doesn't like the idea of riding in anything resembling a coffin?

They could just buy high passage, and have a steward inject them with Fast Drug for the week in passage. But of course then they couldn't do any valuable Networking and Socializing -- you know, the stuff people have to do when they have a high standard of living -- unless they're also in the process of losing their sanity (e.g. Howard Hughes).

That sounds like some rich person with a fear of star travel. Buy high passage and spend the entire trip in a kind of induced coma for the entire trip. Must be nice to have money. At least the room will be in the same condition as it was at the beginning of the journey.
