Earth-Standard Worlds Only

I would think that within a subsector, it's pretty well known exactly how to traverse the obstacles of interstellar dead ends therein.

And, that starships built within, would be optimized to do so most efficiently.

In theory, if you're not zigzagging, you could leapfrog the system, and jump into that system from the opposite side.

And that accomplishes what? You spend a second week in jump to avoid a week in realspace? That seems particularly uneconomic since jump is vastly more expensive than realspace travel because the jump fuel demands.

You find stuff to deliver to the other system, and then backtrack to the one inbetween.

Other than that, when I mentioned that local shippers are usually well aware of the conditions within their own subsectors, they've figured out the most efficient routes, which may also be seasonal.

You can always invest in a factor/nine manoeuvre drive, if you want to use a brute force method.
