I built my friends one, and yes they are a pain. But not as bad as my Oct, that mini required more pinning and green stuffing that any I've done before or since.

Build and paint each half of the Z'Takk seperately, it makes life easier.

thats a good shout, i've not put the halves together yet i'll keep that in mind.

A regular at my club has I think a form of Parkinsons disease so can't paint. He has recently picked up the Khador Battle Box and as I also collect Khador asked me to paint them for him.

Wow guys, the rhino, warmachine minis, and the elf all look really awesome. It makes me feel a bit lazy that all I have painted for the last year is spaceships. Oh well, I have 10 ships left to paint, and then it is likely back to humanoids.

Thanks, Dee. You can't see them very well, but those WS were actually done using your technique. The only difference was that I used a white undercoat.

I like the use of the whitestar fighter mini as whitestars. It looks good scalewise. I think thats what AOG originally intended wasn't it?

I'll get to it. Gotta wait till next week, though. When my friend (with the camera) pays another visit... Any advise on lighting when photographing these kind of minis? We're both kinda new at this.
