What Have You Painted Today??

I finished this lovely model earlier on today...

Not too chuffed with the paintjob, but having to re-prime over a second hand autarch, it lost alot of deail... so I'll take what I get. Still waiting for a shining spears lance to put on there... it'll do for the tabletop.

It looks a little funny under the yellow light, but it's pretty much identical to the heavy metal paintjob they did for the biel tan version - teracotta cloak and bleached bone inside does look a little odd, it has to be said, but better in person than it does there.

But the green on white is pretty standard

Well, today I finished up those swordmasters finally - the brown based ones are mine, the green based ones were already painted when I bought the army.

Hopefully not too much glare from the flash

Nice.

Perhaps redoing their bases and painting the sand on yours.
Also giving theirs a wash of black on the armour, yours are darker.

Pretty much done - lance added, some banners to paint still. Now I'm onto 3 Grizzlies to be done in weathered desert colours.

Started on my new Navwar 1/3000th scale ships. Difficult trying to work out paint schemes from old b/w and rare colour photos, but a copy of the US Navy color scheme guidelines for ships at sea is very handy!

Only 5 more carriers, 2 more battlecruisers, 8 more battleships and stacks of cruisers and destroyers to go...

Being possessed of caffiene induced insomnia, I have almost finished an EA Marathon Cruiser. I haven't named it yet, but it's designation number is 021, and I managed to paint a crude and tiny EA logo on one side. Pictures tomorrow.

Working on some Infinity models - taking my first shot at some vaguely industrial bases, using some milliput textured with a pin vice handle for a metal grid, and plasticard and other materials for embellishments.

Zonds and others awaiting assembly

First Zond, 'Garfield' finished - I suppose he should really be tabby coloured, but what they hey. I'm not liking the matt spray varnish I'm using. It's glossy :( Will have to go back to brushing it on...

And oh yeah, go see Avenue Q.
