What Have You Painted Today??

I've been experimenting with disassembling, stripping and repainting a diecast vehicle to see whether I could get an acceptable result before starting on the rest of my GOMCO collection of compatible vehicles.

There's a few bits of paint that need touching up on it and it's not yet been varnished but am fairly happy with the results.

I think the car looks cool. The gang member doesn't look very impressed though.

Yea, the gang member looks like he was hoping for a Ferrari or something better.

Working on my explorer model again...

I turned these....

Into these!

My first six gang members are painted, and I'm just about finishing up modelling another batch. I have enough figures for a good three or four gangs now, so I have quite a bit of painting ahead. Also pictured is a wall I'm building for my terrain board. It was all looking a bit ragged (I'm as bad laying bricks in miniature as in real life), so I just carved a tonne of bulletholes into it. Looks pretty good now!

Those look good Blu!

Edit: I did these Sunday over the course of 6 hours. I was inspired by the color counters from the B5Wars supplement, War of Retribution

I really like the way he is turning out. I need to add some tall grass and a buttload of gloss coat to the river in front of him.

Who is the elephant dude you painted? I like the non purple colour scheme for the centauri.

@Blu majik. Those are cool looking minies, are they from warmachine? How are your vree going?

yeah, thats a Warmachine Warcaster and his assistants.

i've built up a Vree Xill and i'm going to try to get it done tonight as a sort of tester. if i'm happy with that i'm going to try to get two Xeel and eight flights of Tzymm done by the end of the month.

keep up the good work everyone!

Banichi, the elephant dude is Harapan from Reaper miniatures.

He and Babu the baby elephant were kind of one-off sculpts for Tsunami Relief

This guy benefited the American Red Cross
