VPs for fighters

If I buy fighters as a patrol level choice how are vps awarded in tourneys?

Is it one VP per flight? Or 3 per "wing" (usually of 3 flights) destroyed?

It's now 1/flight, so be careful with all those Kotha.

This is a matter under some contention, as the ruling isn't exactly popular. Local/house rules abound here, consult with any tourney co-ordinator before submitting your fleet list on this one!

Yeah, "by the book" is 1 VP per flight. Same as for launched fighters. Most people house-rule it to launched fighters give no VPs, but no matter how common, it is a house rule.

According to SFoS, launched fighters give no VP. Seperate wings give VP as per a patrol FAP (or skirmish for WS fighters). rounding up.

Matt has ruled it as 1VP per flight based on a line in the Shadow rules in Armageddon. Mongoose tourneys follow the 1VP per flight.

Other tourneys don't.
