Vorlon Advanced Dreadnought (Carnage for Carnage; sake)

Ok, I know a lot of people are going to wonder what is the point in another armageddon level ship for Vorlons arent they top heavy enough? Well obviously not in my opinion. I personally dont like the stats for the Heavy cruiser, but there is little I can do about it, so i decided to design stats for the Vorlon Advanced Dreadnought.

Vorlon advanced Dreadnought

Priority: Armageddon
Speed: 4
Turn: 1/45
Hull: 5
Damage: 250
Craft: 2 Fighter flights
Special:Adaptive Armour, Advanced Jump Point, Flight Computer, Self-Repair 4d6 Fleet Carrier

Weapons:
Concentrated Lightning Cannon 30 F 6 B/P/SAP/QD
Discharge Cannon 18 F 6 AP/B/DD/P
Discharge Cannon 18 F 6 AP/B/DD/P

There you go, she looses out on speed and durability from the lower damage and worse self repair compared to the Heavy cruiser but she makes up for it with the added punch.

Before people see the term Quad-Damage take a chill pill and observe the averages

HC Lightning cannon Vs hull 4 ship = 8.5 hits (8 for convenience)
Average= 2 crits 23 damage

VAD Lightning Cannon Vs Hull 4 ship = 5 hits
Average= 1 crit 19 damage

So really your only getting two more AD on the Discharge guns and 2 flights of fighters, i think thats quite fair.

I'm all in favour for making a no holds barred Vorlon Dreadnaught worth one Ancient point, but not another Armageddon one. Quad damage sounds cool for the former though.

Thats why i posted it to get some sort of feedback, contrary to what might be popular blief: "Ummmm.......No." isnt terribly useful

Second!

But if it does take an ancient point I think it should have 300 damage & Self Repair 5d6 like the HC. And I think it should have more than 2 fighter flights. Even the Brokados has 4 Falkosi Flights, as worthless as that is.

I'm perfectly fine with those stats (I haven't looked at the balance yet) in principle - Quad Damage is easy enough to understand and the ship doesn't do anything game breaking with new rules so as a concept I think it's fine.

BTW, against Hull 4 it does 10 2/3 hits not 8.5 (16/9 hits per AD when starting at 2+ to hit).

I'd also go for the Ancient level design as well. I have no problem with the Vorlon duo extreme Quad core damage cannon either. This thing is a Star Dreadnaught and should be scary. Besides, the Vorlons have had a few Billion years to tweak the design...

I'll get in on this just to have another Vorlon ship. I've been playtesting the carrier that was up here a few months ago, and it has been accepted by our player group without question. I agree that a 'punchier' Heavy Cruiser, with this weapons layout but HC or tougher hull and damage/self repair, at one Ancient point, would be a good thing.
