Vor: The Maelstrom

Wel, in fairness Fasa is gone and that can't be helped. It is kind of a surprise that Classic Battletech is still going so strong, but then again the writes for it were probably more sought after than Vor, unfortunately.

Battletech has been around for a LONG time, enabling it to get a really solid following.

Vor was "on the verge" when Fasa closed its doors.

But we are adding -

Enhanced Rules fo Growlers in combat.

Rules for Fear & Terror.

PROPER Overwatch rules.

Enhanced Force Creation Rules.

Because they are either missing or need to be brought into line with the rest of the System.

You should try to acquire the rights for it and publish your won books. I know mongoose do flaming Kobra, but it wold be cool if smaller companies did miniature aand war games thorugh them too.

All you can do is try. Whats the worse that can happen:

You get the rights, publish them and don't succeeed. You spend a good bit of savings pulishing the book, but fail, but your fruits still bare, you still have a copy of your own publication in your hadns, and you gave a life line to the other Vor Lone Wolves out there.

Or absolutely nothing happens, or you succeed. I like those odds....

Besides, the miniatures are still being produced.....

Well, the second week in September I am going to buy some Vor stuff. Don't know If I should order books, or get shard or Golem, or all of the above. So much to but, so little to spend....

Books first, you can fall into a trap with VOR as Army selection can depend on what units you want to field.

We are "VOR" ing tomorrow night, I'm using my Shard again I think.

Have all the army books... adapted my growlers to SST, vs. MI. Thinking of using them as a indigenous life on skinnie world, or a MI planet. They could be dangerous to bothsides.

Any chance of sharing the list, My Email is on file (or PM me)!

That was why I picked up a couple of basic boxes (dirt cheap mind you; $40 for two of the boxed games :D ). Seemed like it could be a very interesting twist to things. I know that I always loved the idea of the Ambull from Rogue Trader (the early days of 40k for anyone that doesn't know).

Well, that is a bit Lofcraftian. See if you recognise this:

"Deep into the darkness peering,
Long I stood there,
Wondering, Fearing, doubting, dreaming...."

I love the growler models, where can I get them from, or is it only going to be eBay? I'd do exactly what you have done, to be honest.
