Vassal:ACTA Mod: How To Start. (Warning!! Large Pics)

if you really like but the zip file works as is. i keep all my mods and mods in progress in the one foldr so know where to find them :)

I second the sticky, perhaps combined with the other Vassal/ACTA update thread? I'm just getting it set up and this is all useful stuff.

wicked, thanks for the help, runs fine just going to check it all out,
used to use a program called octgn for eve ccg, was a bit finnicky,
but theres a new one going through playtesting now which i design the buttons for, this looks much better to use, cheers

well the files you need are in the player resources section, and i keep the link up to date with latest ACTA mod too.
this is a helpful thread though for those having problems although you can always just ask someone with a new post if needed :)

Valen:

Given that VASSAL runs in the JRE (Java Runtime Environment) I'd be shocked if it didn't work on any platform with Java support, which, I think, extends back all the way to Windows 95.

Betcha the source originator can even compile for Linux/UNIX/XWindows environments.

I think you can also run from within your browser at the VASSAL site, but I haven't tried that personally.

Once u have downloaded Vassal itself, install it.
Then download the latest mod 7.8, and follow the earlier guide in this thread for starting it.

If these guides are not going to be stickied what about putting it the New Players Resources - clutter free sticky?

Thanks to JayRaider for doing the guides, it’s appreciated
