I'll let Jay post the latest links but yes you can play solo (or with more than two players for that matter!)

Good idea for the guide and well done!

:D Yes, you'll find countless hours disappearing but very worth it. You will be playing and painting, Perfect combo.
Great for games against yourself, testing fleets etc, and even better against a real opponent on the net.

I tried to follow the instructions for "solitaire" mode an the ships all say they are offboard. How do I get them onboard? Also, how do you determine the range for weapon shots?

Thanks!

Chris

dont worry about it saying offboard - the big black area is the board :)

as for finding ranges - top left corner of the map area there's a range tab, press this then left click hold and drag from desired ship to target ship. gives you a red line with the range.

is anyone else having problems downloading the vassal mod or is it just me? I cant seem to get the download past 20% before it freezes up...

havent tried it but have put v7.2 up now, hopefully if you having problems there will be more success with that.

i downloaded it, and there is no module in the folder when opened, just vassal, then error log and a preferece file?
any ideas, oh and im running vista that might be it (oh im so glad i upgraded)

I downloaded it and the ACTA file, put it in a new module folder (since there was none) but bugger all happens
It doesn't give me the option to load it

download vassal and the ACTA file. dont put the ACTA file in vassal or anything, just keep it in your documents or where ever and dont unzip it.
start up vassal.
click play module.
select the ACTA mod zip file.

this then will give you the game and pieces etc. have a look around, get used to moving stuff and seeing the differant options.
