VaS - Splitting allocation points

gazman

Mongoose
Inthe section on splitting allocation point, OOB states:

"This will allow players to use a SINGLE Fleet Allocation Point to buy ships of different levels rather than of one Priority Level only."

There are two interpretations of this statement:

1 - You can only split one point per fleet, no matter how big or small the fleet.
or
2 - You can split as many single points up as you like within your fleet allocation.

There are differing viewpoints on the VAS board - can we clear this up with a word from the top?

The statement is ambiguous and could do with rewording IMHO.

Rulemasters ???

Is there an official answer to this, or is the question up for some debate due to its obvious impingement of the original distribution ??

Pm or email Mat...

Should NOT really need to PM anyone, this is, after all, the RULEMASTERS forum which the guys who make the rules should read and reply in, If a PM is needed then theres no point in posting anything in the forum at all, Just get everyone to PM Matt with every query

If they dont read Rulemaster then whats the point in posting in it ?????

If they read and have a problem with providing a structured answer, the least they could do is say something about the reasons (e.g. this is being discussed etc etc), Not just leave it unanswered

If they read and ignore, what does that say about their regard to consumers??

<<wonders how long this post will stay up, as if it is removed then it says a lot more>>

Hi guys,

The correct answer is 2.

Juggler, we are extremely busy at the moment - the only other option we have right now is to remove the Rulesmasters altogether, and I am sure no one wants that.

Thanks Matt, I have every respect for people that write, edit and publish rules and also understand how busy you can be, I do not even remotely suggest that the rulemasters forum be closed as they are vital feedback engines, although, in its current form it must be hard to monitor (it might be worth splitting it into the individual game forums as stickies and allocating a "rules guy" to each one though)

However, you must also understand the sometime frustration of your customers that may have asked for clarification without response

I suppose its too late to ask if you have any proofreader positions availabe (I'd do it for free even)
