US Cons and ACTA:SF

Mongoose
Are there any plans for Mongoose or a group of players to put on any games, either demonstration or participation games at any of the major US miniature gaming conventions such as the HMGS Cold Wars/Historicon/Fall In, or Origins?

Just not 4 hours ago I e-mailed the main man in charge of the NOVA. NOVA is a national indie 40k tournament held in August.

I mentioned the possibility of running an ACTA: Starfleet tournament at this event that also features FOW and a smallish Warmachine tournament.

If everything goes as planned, and enough people show interest, I'm going to try to organise this for a 2013 tournament at the NOVA in august.

I'm very tentatively thinking about a demo at Fall-In in November. Give me plenty of time to get my fleets and paint them up.

I think I saw an US con that Mongoose will be at, not sure which. I also think scoutdad said something about a tournament at Nashcon.

Mongoose is officially at Gen Con (we may be back at Origins next year, we'll see how their organisation goes). However, we do have a lot of demo team members in the US and the number is growing, so expect out coverage to improve over the next few months.

NashCon is held in Nashville TN (of Course) at the end of May. It's run by the HMGS and is typically historical miniature games with some alternative gaming thrown in.

I have emailed the organizers about ACTA and am awaiting a response before making an official announcement.

At Con of the North in Minneapolis MN (Feb 17-19) I am going to run some ACTASF events Saturday Night. Maybe Earlier if no one signs up for some traveller stuff Saturday Afternoon.

A friend and I are putting on a demo game at the upcoming Orccon convention in Los Angeles on the 19th of February.
