Traveller, TAS, and AI

A lot to unpack in the reply, more so than I have time for now, but this is a real....wow...comment.
More like an extreme abuse of human rights forcing me, upon threat of death, to pay for another's living expenses. In the US welfare has created an entire criminal class of people who become violent if the gov't refuses to pay them. They aren't slaves just criminals.

Not true at all. I know people who use it and pay for it to produce business communication with simple prompts that in no way violates copyright.
You removed it from the context. I'm being sardonic.
You can't use AI to make money, because copyright and theft, but there are no viable alternatives to a capitalist model because it's the best there has ever been, so we have to accept boom and bust and the death of the job market without any viable solution in sight, because of an unwillingness to accept that this type of innovation could bring about this outcome.

Potentially. But A.I. doesn't yet exist. Just VERY primitive expert systems here and there. An example, self driving cars "A.I." cannot even tell if a bridge is out or there is a hole in the road. It will drive into the hole or drive into thin air in the case of the missing bridge. The programs actually have ZERO understanding. None. It takes understanding to be intelligent
Let me rephrase: what people call ai is a very complex system of if then routines.

I agree although I do not know if you could reinstitute the gold standard now from a practicality standpoint.

Giving the currency back to the Treasury Department and non-interest-bearing notes would be a good start, even if the gold standard can't be implemented.

EDIT: Seriously, how many leaders have been transmigrated to the next plane of existence for considering this. Coincidence, it's gotta be.

But of course they are. Millions of people have been conditioned to get upset at certain words. Mao called them 'magic words', because they stop all discussion.
Likewise the modern usage of Lenin's Dog Whistle.
People should also be familiar with Mao's Open Government Suggestion Boxes and what happened to every single person who submitted a suggestion.
