Traveller Fleet Combat

I was wondering if there were any rules to simplify starships to allow squadron or fleet level combat in the Traveller universe. I know that there is Battle Rider and Brilliant Lances, but that was for the GDW version. Was there anything for the LBB or Megatraveller versions?
 
That would be the LBB version of High Guard. The so-called "ship" combat system in MegaTraveller is the same engine, though with some odd changes.

The LBB High Guard can even be used with Mongoose Traveller, since the calculations for weapon factors are very straightforward for turrets, and can be worked out for bays and spinal mounts.

Note that these are rather abstract. No map movement, just "on the line" or "in reserve".
 
For abstract, I'd go with Gypsy Comet's suggestion of CT LBB5. Worked pretty well.

If you want to go table top with minis and everything, I'd go with Power Projection, which is the classic Full Thrust spaceship minis system adapted for Traveller. Ok, it's adapted for CT, but it wouldn't take much to work it to convert it to MgT.




EDIT: Doh! Corrected my obvious mistake - I was thinking High Guard 5, I wrote 2...Maybe I was looking at the screen upside down?
 
Thanks for the replies. I think I would like to keep it more abstract to emphasize roleplaying. I would like to run a naval campaign set during the Rebellion. The PCs will be part of the Imperial Navy at the eve of the Emperor's assassination.
