Mongoose
Ok, its been a while, and i know my old system went down :( but its back up now, and hopefully a big improvement again. Took on board a lot of comments from people, and after running my own games, i started to realise what was really needed.

so here it is

http://86.28.170.121/travellerapps/TradeFrame.html

let me know if you have any comments or queries on how to use it etc. and let me know about any bugs and i'll try to fix them.

Hope you all enjoy

Mark

The map is stuck in the left-hand frame. With that happening I can't tell what else is going on. Also, put into place a better instruction set. For example: I'm assuming that I have to put the UWP and trade codes of every world in every subsector into the input box, but is there a paticular format for doing so that prevents them from getting mixed up?

Thanks for the feedback :)

It should be the standard text format from the traveller wiki, like the ones found here

http://traveller.wikia.com/wiki/Spinward_Marches_Sector

Otherwise, yep you do need to put in all the values, but if you copy paste the Spinward marches sector in, you can at least get a feel for what you would get.

As for some better description text, I'll have a look at making it clearer.

Thanks again for the input, and hope this turns out to be useful.

Cheers

Quite a few people are getting to the page, but not looking at the sector map, For just a quick look press submit, and then click on the links which are the sector names which appear.

Any problems just ask :)

I really like what I am seeing! This looks very useful and would be great resource for a sandbox game!

Glad you like it, For me it was the fact that i was sure my players would want to trade a bit as soon as they got a ship to make some extra creds (Just like we all did in Elite :) ) And it seemed like a lot of rolls and tables which could be automated. Then it turned into a bit of a project...

Great concept but I'm having difficulties.

Trying to copy in the Foreven data from the wiki (doing it a number of different ways) and it's giving me errors.

If it's not too much trouble could you visually explain exactly what needs to be imputed and how, please?

Ah interesting, the Foreven sector from traveler-wiki has quite a lot of extended terms outside the normal, so i'm just getting them added in, but there are a few so it may take a while. Hope spinward has enough to keep you going :)

Hi Sentient Bean

Right its fixed now so it works with Foreven sector, if your interested the "Rayarkfost" sector has a government setting of X, which caused all the problems. However it now all works i think.

Thanks again for the feedback, and hope you have fun exploring the Foreven sector.

Cheers

Mark,

Much appreciated!

I actually thought it was my error in inputting the wrong formatting or something of that nature. Thank you kindly for setting up Foreven to work!

Cheers,

Peter

Finally got round to looking at this, and I have added a few standard sectors to make life a bit easier, Let me know if there is any sectors which would be of any use and ill add them in.

I think the map being fixed is that it dosn't scroll like google maps, you have to use the scrollbars. Ill look into adding this as a feature at some point.

I have also got a more permanent web address, the old one should still work fine, but i can update this one if my isp changes my ip. So update bookmarks to this if you like

Thanks for the feedback, and hope this helps with your games.
