Mongoose Foreven Sector Data (With Borders!) for TravellerMap

Different people play different ways. There's no one true way to play the game. There's no one way that will please everyone. There are like 17 sectors that have full MgT2e treatment. THere's another 7 or 8 that have older versions still available. If you can't spare one sector for people who play differently than you, then too bad.
There’s like 72 undeveloped sectors other than Foreven so you can spare this one undeveloped sector. Yea there’s no one true way to play the game so why are you trying to force yours

And if you really want to play the published adventures as written, most of which are on the spinward side, well great! None of them go into Foreven. So the only reason to go into Foreven is because YOU choose to. Mongoose isn't leading you in there and leaving you hanging. Nothing that is being published for 5FW will involve action in Foreven. So that's just the GM choosing to bring that into play. Just choose not to do that.

Just curious here, Vormaerin - are you speaking as an official Mongoose representative?

No, I don't work for Mongoose or have any affiliation with them. But nothing that Mongoose has indicated for the 5FW books that they are producing in any way comes close to Foreven Sector. The previous history of the 5FW does not suggest that Foreven Sector is relevant to anything likely to be published.

Nor has Mongoose in any way suggested that they were inclined to throw over Marc's wishes just because they are owners.

I am just responding to the argument that 5FW action will take place in Foreven so it has to be official. There is no reason to believe that anything about the 5FW content will in any way involve the Foreven sector.

Again, you're trying to dictate to another table how they play. You don't have to agree, and you can keep insulting them with things like calling them immature, but a) that doesn't make it true, b) it makes it very hard to take your arguments seriously and c) it doesn't give any reason why they shouldn't continue to play that way which is any more compelling than us trying to tell you that you should just ignore that sector.
You are trying to tell Me that I have to write a whole sector if I want to play in Foreven. Quit projecting your own inadequacies on to Me. I believe that call that gaslighting and it is a form of abuse.

And now that I have read the rest of your posts since. Your viewpoint is, "if you don't like it, go play somewhere else." Real mature. Way to alienate other players.

Hey everyone,

There are no current plans to overwrite Marc's wishes with regards to Foreven. We provided a framework for it in the Sector Construction Guide but, well... use that, don't use that... it is up to you (which is the point).

It might have been a plan to put the open sector elsewhere in Charted Space, but that would have been with the benefit of hindsight and, as a wise man once said, it is what it is.

Plenty of other sectors for us to worry about before we even glance at Foreven.

(Always thought Foreven was a prime opportunity for one or more TAS publishers to create a semi-fficial setting in Charted Space...).

I know that’s not what you said, but I couldn’t help myself. ;)

We have three sectors of "small polities on the Imperial-Zhodani fringe". If they give us yet another book of that stuff, I'll be seriously disappointed and annoyed. Been there, done that, have several T-shirts.
Wait, there are T-Shirts? Where? I want one!

Frankly, I might very well do that myself; offer it as a setting book for those who don't want to make their own version of Foreven and use it as a resume showing what I can do.

But that'll have to wait until A) I'm done with Uni and B) a Far Frontiers sector book comes out.

What's Uni?

Would your sector use the UWPs provided in the Sector Construction Guide, and the limited lore there? I hope so. If so, feel free to snag what I've put together as a foundation to build on. It might save you a lot of headache.

Whatever your steed I don't know of one that can do FTL on a bail of hay, and I doubt the professor does too. Any plausible leads or sightings, please reply.
