The long campaign

Hi,

I just bought "The Fiary Trial", "Into The Crucible", "The Athena Strain", "The Cold Equations", and "The Ragged Edge". I have read through "The Fiary Trial" and just started to read "Into The Crucible".
Now I am thinking about melting all the books together to one long campaign (the serveral story arcs running beside each other).
What do you think? Is this possible? What problems are there?
And most important in what order do the books and the adventures in them fit together (ok, "TFT" should be no problem as it is the only book in 2258)?

It would be nice to here some suggestions.

Greetings

I can't completely answer your question, but I have run Cold Equations and Ragged Edge both. Cold Equations is designed to be a level 1 game, and works well as that. It is sort of time sensitive though, and much of the conflict stems from the fact that it's taking place right after Garabaldi got shot in the back. I do know Ragged Edge is designed to be flexible, with room between most scenarios for other adventures.

I suspect, as long as you can hit the prerequisites for each session (like having the PCs on board a star liner instead of their own ship for Cold Equations, or being employed by an Earth-based corporation during the Ragged Edge), scaling the NPCs and DCs wouldn't be too tough.

Not only is it possible, but I am doing it. In addition I am throwing in my own scenarios to pad it out. You simply have to be willing to modify the modules to account for the power levels and ongoing circumstances of your campaign. This does make for more work than using the modules "off the shelf" but makes for a much more satisfying experience for players and GM's alike.
