Greetings All,

Over the past few months my friend and I have been working on making a quality conversion of ACtA for SW.

We have enjoyed our battles with this and are sharing it in the event others might also enjoy it. This file is in Word 2003 format and contains all rule modifications (there are only a few) and fleet lists to be concurrent with the original time frame. The only changes that have been made are going with a Point vs FAP system, Tractor Beams, Disruptive (a new weapon ability to account for Ion Cannons in this universe), a critical hits table that better reflects this universe, and the ability for many ships to be customized in a myriad of ways.

Hmm . . . I just tried downloading the file from another computer without signing in on anything, and I had a successful download. Perhaps your browser blocked the download?
 
My download, (9.00am this morning), is fine, Da Boss. Suggest giving it another try let me know if you still have a problem.
 
Just tried again and all seems fine - so must have been a glitch

Looks a good piece of work guys - thanks - especially like the look of the tractor beam rules
 
Quick question did i miss it or is there no Imperial Star Destroyer Upgrades. I saw the Mon Cal Cruiser Upgrades but none for the Imperials. Thanks,

Also Excellent work hope to see more non-cannon ships added to this list. Keep up the good work guys.
 
You are correct about the Imperial upgrades. In our readings of the books, we couldn't find anything that indicated regular modifications of ships by the Empire. If they wanted something different, they just made a brand new ship. MonCals, on the other hand, where originally luxury liners that were all unique and that were modified to be warships. Modification is in their nature. One of the consistencies with them, however, was good firepower and better shields than the Imperials. We felt the best (and simplest) way to represent this was with the d6 recharge and the one time use mod for shield recharge boosting.

We are definitely planning on expanding the lists, and we are probably going to go forward in time line before we go back (I've got this thing where I purposely don't own one of the even numbered movies). In the works are Victory Class and ImpStarDuece , faster and smaller Mon Cal hulls, Dreadnaughts, and a couple of Uglies with Uglie Mod list. We also want to create commanders that can be used (for a certain number of points, of course).

No promises on when these might come out. We only get to meet every couple of weeks or so. What ships and/or commanders(current & post original movies) would you guys like to see?

For Commanders i would probably Go with Admiral Ackbar for the rebels, and Admiral Neda for the Imperials. I would love to see the Liberator Class Cruiser, Mejestic Class Crusier, Nebula Class Star Destroyer, and the other ships from the Black Star Crisis. As well as the other varients of the Nebelon series. Keep up the good work thanks for working on these.
 
The rules look good, but the ship selection seems to be rather thin. I would recommend the following.

Frigates

Nebulon B2
Corellian Gunboat
Lorenar Strike Cruiser
Dreadnoughts
Carrack light Cruiser
MC60?
Imperial Escort Carrier

Capital Ships
MC80A
MC80B
MC80C
Imperial Mk II
Victory
Victory Mk II
 
Well, most of those ships are on the slate for the next version. However, I think you will find the list is not as slim as you might think if you factor in the modifications tables.

I am looking forward to addressing New Republic/Galactic Alliance era. Writing the Vong should be fun. But, going to work our way up first. Hopefully, v1.4 will account for ships through ep6.

BTW, if anyone actually does play a game of this mod I'd love to read a battle report.
