Surgery question

Hi,

I made a quick check and it seems that all versions of Traveller before Mongoose required Dex 8+ for a medic to practice surgical acts.

Is it an omission or has this limit been voluntarily lifted in Mongoose versions ?

Then a Medi-4 character with Dex 5 would be at a total DM of +3 (Medic 4 - Dex DM) for surgery ?

How do you handle it in your Mongoose campaigns ?

Edit : seems T5 handles it the same way, without the Dex 8+ limit...so it must be voluntary.

Pick just one edition of Traveller rules to use. Don't use the 2007 FORD service manual if your FORD was made in 2013.
