Subsector maps download?

Banded Mongoose
Hi,

I would like to print out the map for District 268 from the Spinward Marches PDF to use for my game and players to draw their routes on-but does anyone know of a clean image without the page numbers and headers and stuff? Is that downloadable somehwere?

Thx

SJE

You could try the Interactive Atlas of the Imperium. Utterly amazing. Built for GURPS but the maps still work for MGT.

Also the Traveller Wiki has good clickable maps.

Finally, the Traveller Map is my nostalgic fave:

None of them offer downloadable maps but you can Print Screen or do a screen grab or print the page through your browser.

Actually, Travellermap.com does all kinds of nifty little things.

http://travellermap.com/info.htm, then go to "Easter Eggs" at the bottom.

You can get a print-ready booklet of a given sector with a little tinkering. This link gives you the booklet for the Marches, including District 268, in print friendly format.

You can even use your own data to do stuff like that. It takes some tinkering, but is pretty cool once you get it figured out.

Actually - TravellerMap.com supports PDF downloads using the API (doable from just the addressbar in a browser, although he mostly references from other web pages).

But, more importantly - none of the sites actually have the MgT data, IIRC! There are subtle changes in TLs, starports, etc.

However, TravellerMap.com still has you covered - go to http://www.travellermap.com/post.htm and you can enter (copy form the PDF and edit) the data you want. There is a PDF checkbox and you can also make routes, allegiances, etc, in the meta data, as well as generate output in several styles and with various options on what shows up (like names). It takes some playing around, but the results are good.

(The other sites, are great too - the first even has System Details if you 'drill down' far enough... though non-cannon, I believe)

EDIT: Oops - navanod's post beat mine (didn't realize I failed to hit submit - similar first words and I failed to realize the preview wasn't mine till right as I hit submit! :o )

I took a look at Utzig's site. It hasn't been updated since 2006, but it's still really nice.

I continue to be impressed by the contributions of Traveller players and the high quality (and sometimes quite stunning) of their work.

I just wish MgT would tap into these guys too. I bet there are a lot of people out there who would come quite cheap just to have their stuff published in the game system they love.

Wow! I thought Traveller Map was cool - but this is amazing. I was just wondering where I would get nice subsector maps....

Very - Very - Very helpful.

Thanks

THANK YOU! THANK YOU! and THANK YOU!

I love the Traveller map but I just didn't know how to use it. That easter egg link you gave allowed me to access the sector booklet which will allow me to print out the desired sub-sectors for Deneb. That saves me a lot of trouble. Now to add my own little additions for the game I'm running.

Thanks again.

If you click on a sector so that the details/credits appear at the bottom of the page, the sector name is a link to the printable booklet.
