Behind the Claw : Errata?

Cosmic Mongoose
Hi,

I was working on some GM's notes for playing in the Spinward Marches and I was coming up with ways to help new players understand how really big space is.

My physical copy of BTC (page 4) agrees with WikiPedia that:
* 1 AU is 150,000,000 Km
* 1 Light Second is 300,000 Km

The BTC PDF says:
* 1 AU is 160,000,000 Km
* 1 Light Second is 300,000,000 Km <- This could be a units error because if you change the Km to m it would be right, I think.

Now, I'm an electron pusher by trade so this is something I am no expert at. However, my "Be confused" skills are exceptional :)

1. Which source is correct?
2. Is an errata for BTC being compiled?

TIA,

Ian

The printed book includes the various Errata submitted here in the forum, still awaiting for the updated PDF :? ...

1AU is 149,597,871 km, so the 150,000,000 is (more) correct. 1 light second is 299,792.458 km, so the 300,000 answer is closest. It seems the printed version is correct.

Have you gone back to DriveThruRPG to get the latest update? I believe I have the latest and it reads 150,000,000.

Could someone please confirm that - both Drivethru and our site should have the latest. If not, we will get on the case!

When I posted my original message I checked the latest copy from the Mongoose website and it was not the latest version. However, with my OCD, I feel it would be a good idea for you to check too.

Okay, that being the case, I think I know what has happened - this will be fixed before the week's end!

Just bought my Behind the Claw from DTRPG.
Current text:
"This is based on the
distance of Earth’s orbit from the Sun and is about
150,000,000 km.
The light-second is also used, defined as the distance
light travels within a vacuum in one second. This is
299,792.458 km, usually rounded to 300,000 km. One
AU is 499 light-seconds."

I've re-downloaded the file from the Mongoose site, it's an updated version, and page 4 says:

Not checked the rest yet.
