Some help with MC colour schemes please

Hello all, I've got a pile of vehicles ready to paint but I'm having some difficulty finding "proper" colours for some schemes. US stuff is easy enough, but any suggestions for the following would be most appreciated:

Chinese Type-99: The base pale sand is easy enough, but the bright(ish) green is causing headaches.

Russian armour: Any suggestions for the base green colour, it's not the same as WW2 era Russian Green and the painting guide lists it as khaki-green.

Worst case, I'll just pick the closest I've got but I'd like them as accurate as I can manage. I'm using a mix of Vallejo, Revell and GW acrylics. I want to avoid mixing paints if at all possible (if I get more vehicles later I don't want to mess about trying to match colours. Had enough of that with my SST stuff :) )

Thanks

I would just go with what ever looks right. even with modern color matching the chemicals don't always behave in the pigments. I just looked at some pic of PLA armor. I think that the PLA paint for the job. If desert the go Tan and Green or Tan and soomething greenish, woodlands or grass lands green and Black. Parade color seems to be close to Vallejo Reflective Green.

Russian stuff is done for the intended environment.

Go with what you like.

:)

Too late, they're done :) But thanks anyway.

I went for GW bleached bone with Tamiya Nato Green and Nato Black striping for the Type 99s (think it's an older scheme based on the version of the tank it was done on, but it looks good. Artistic licence  ). I tried doing the sand/bright green camo but it looked a bit odd on the model even with near-enough colours.

The Russians ended up Tamiya Buff with Tamiya Field Grey camo, a bit darker than the pics I have but I wanted to avoid my three forces (the others being mostly sand coloured USMC) having similar camo if possible.

Don't have a decent camera, or anywhere to host the pics if I did for that matter. Might look into it once my infantry are finished.

I'll put them on the Battlefield Evolution page. USMC are up, the others are on hold just now, should have them finished over the next few weeks. Others are up on the Evocommand site if you're interested. Worth a look at their "Beyond The Call Of Duty" section of the forum, there's a number of really talented painters who post pics there.
