Hooray, Dralafi is back!

Wow, don't think I've seen him since I got lucky at the 2nd ACTA tourney and bet him in the first match.

Pure luck I assure you, let's face it, it wasn't due to skill on my part.

Does the 8 ship limit apply to the carried ships the Drakh can take?
I wouldn't have thought so given that ships includes fighters and these are generally carried and ignored (although technically this would prevent players taking fighter wings...)

well it didn't last time I attended Mongoose, these ships are a key part of that ships abilities, to limit them effectively rules out that ships "balance"

...but the 8 ship limit also rules out the Drazi's balance... especially at 5pt Battle...

thats a fleet balance issue rather than an individual ship balance, ie carrier/mo-ship, but I wholeheartedly concur.

Hmm 8 Drazi ships against 1 Young Shadow Ship, the new Stalker and 4 Scouts................(what I would have taken)

although I guess they do get their Attack Run and easier ramming..............

8 drazi against a G'Vrahn, and 6 dag-kars. . . dodge this mo-fo. . .

ok the dag kar fleet generally sucks, but against Minbari, ISA and dodgy drazi, it would be quite amusing

Yeah, exactly, that makes it even worse for Drazi!

it's not exactly a bed of smelly flowers for all the others too
of course, you give the impression that you want to play Drazi and you are getting your excuses in early lol

I always want to play Drazi but they are just so uncompetitive with this kind of restrictions, and it's not really much fun to play either when you lose half your fleet's firepower due to not being allowed init sinks. Drazi are intended to be a swarm fleet. Swarm fleets are effectively banned from the tournament. So Drazi will suffer more than anyone else... unless the attack run rules are outragously broken in P&P

If the Drakh are allowed more than 8 ships then I would think that it is only fair that Drazi should be allowed more also... boresight fleets seriously need to outnumber the opposition to stand any real chance! 8)

One thing that will probably be seen is an abundance of small ships with one large ship to make up the FAPs as this gives maximum flexibility in different PL games.

e.g. 1 x War; 1 x Battle; 2 x Raid; 4 x Skirmish

I wouldn't be surprised to see a Drakh fleet of: 3 x Carrier (mixture of Light and Heavy Raiders); 3 x Light Raider; 2 x Scout

I'm looking at taking Vree for this event. Must...use...Basestar...

However, a Raiders fleet would be very, very fun!

Can I have a serious question answered please. Are fighter wings counted in the ship limit? They've been excluded in the past and the purpose for the ship limit is to limit initiative sinks so I'm guessing they aren't counted...
