Mongoose
Work in Progress: The J6 Racing Yacht Constant Storm... I've not worked out the tonnage yet but I think 300tons sounds about right... note the bay windows on the rear hull's (Extreme) Luxury Stateroom

Thanks.
'Canonically' the Constant Storm is based on a Solly Scout (as depicted by mongoose) with 200% more hull bolted on the back end containing an experimental high-rated Jump drive, super-elite stateroom and jaccussii pool.

So, I've got a private group that is getting ready to head out into unexplored space. The group will be on R20. We're not streaming or blogging the game.
May I have permission to use your two illustrations here for an alien ship design? I'd be happy to credit you [my wife used to work in book publishing and she's taught me to be a stickler about it]

Sure you can do that. Always happy to get name checked. what timezone is your roll20 in?

Up in the air right now, probably US Eastern. One my players is active-duty army and she just transferred from the West Coast to back East. So I have me and one player here in the West, and two players in Virginia.
However, I'm not looking for more players at this time. This is my very first R20 game and I'm still mucking about with the referee side of that. I still can't seem to get handouts posted yet! Probably because I'm old...lol!
If things go well, and I pull my cranial container out of my fundamental cloaca, I'll make sure to keep you in mind if the scheduling works out.
THANK YOU for letting me use your artwork!

I'm on UK time...
Re Roll20.... my strong advice is to use something like DISCORD for comms and persistent handouts use Roll20 'only' for the mapping aspect. Roll20's built-in comms are not good quality. taking it to a second program also helps your computer as its a parallel process.

Really depends on needs and desires. For the one game I'm in (though not Traveller) actually using IRC for the game, and for the occasional mapping need (combat typically) using MapTool. If one is just using text rather then having to use audio/video this would also lessen the load on the system.

I'm on an R20 T2K4 game with Discord as our A/V application and that's working pretty well, so I'd planned on using that too.
I'm in process of getting a couple of ship deck plans modified so I can upload them, along with the other art I'm gonna need. I've been doing some writing, getting the IMTU stuff sorted out and a certain level of 'what your characters know about 'x' ' type stuff done. Basically the same stuff I'd do if I was starting a tabletop game. Now I have to figure out how to get it all loaded into R20 as a referee.
