I'd just like to make the point that no Space Station selection (or satellites for that matter) will be legal in the tourney
 
If there was a Maximus Station - maybe I would have, but otherwise thats fine!

Hey Triggy - yeah that would be fun, doubt Tank will want fight Centauri yet again (2 out of 3 last touni!?)

Hi guys,

Just to let you know:
We will by playing with 4 x 4 tables!

Appreciate this is a little smaller than you may be used to, but think of it as a challenge!

The reason for this (as opposed to 6 x 4) has been cost (and time) on table materials...as well as transport to venue. Still I hope folks won't be disappointed as they should look awesome! (Reaverman is a master with an airbrush ;) )

[Note - thanks for the offers but we won't need anyone to bring any cloths...]

P.S. Big thanks to Reaverman and Burger for the marathon table building session this weekend!

Nobody uses the "extra" room on a 6"x4" board anyway. Its just a way of avoiding the scenery if you're so inclined, which is a bad thing really because scenery is meant to be used.

I hope it will be ok - this is just to warn people planning on taking "swarm" fleets...there will be less space to put yer models! (In hindsight I actually quite like that nerf ;))
 
I'm cool with it, played several games on smaller boards anyway, thank the lord for raider speed

actually makes it harder to avoid the swarm. to beat triggys abbai swarm for example i would use the space to my advantage. a 4x4 board would cut down the ability to out manouvre a slow but swarmy opponent.

Ah well I stand corrected - thanks for the first-hand experience :)

We could always join the tables together and make 8 x 4 tables! although 1/2 players would have to wait while the others watch so probably not a good idea...;)

Anyway I think we will manage...

Triggy, I've been looking at the Pak'mara rules...OUCH they are one sick puppy of a fleet for a Raid level game - I have a feeling I can already predict a victory and his breath smells something awful! ;)
 
I'm just going through every fleet one by one, so hopefully I can't be accused of pandering to the best fleet, but more importantly I'll accumulate a fleet of every race :)

Yes, that includes Raiders although I think I need to work up the courage to sit down and paint through ungodly numbers of fighters before I'm ready for that particular challenge :shock:

Sorry, I knew that :) I think I sounded too defensive there!

I look forward to getting positively swamped by fighters though :)
 
Just so you all know, anyone who drops out at the last moment without letting Hash know, will be named and shamed ;)
