Invoking Wonder at the Gaming Table (Deepnight Revelation adjacent)

I've been thinking a lot about invoking wonder at the gaming table. I think this is especially important for a campaign like Deepnight Revelation, or one of the Rim/Core expeditions. So I sent a question to Ken and Robin Talk About Stuff (my favorite podcast) and they covered it in episode 607. Their suggestions are pure gold and I encourage anybody running an exploration game to listen to it. It is the first segment and about 15 minutes long.

To invoke mood, collect lists of adjectives that describe "wonder", "awesomeness" or "eclecticness", or "ebullience." Choose words that qualitatively describe what they are encountering.
Also use language of aesthetics that describes emergence, repeating pattern, symmetry, vividness, minimalism, scale, perspective, duration, etc.
Take stock of how players can gradually become acquainted with what is being presented. This article on Cyborg Prime, while emphasising hazardous conditions, could be useful when attempting to address this kind of perception or investigatory challenge:
