MOD EDIT: Removed a misquote. Never misquote a MOD.

Fixed that for you, LBH. It's what you really meant. :)

Looks like someone can't take a joke...

IIRC, he's always been touchy about the that particular style of "what he says/what he means" joke.

I can take a joke fine, but I will not allow deliberate misquoting of someone, especially me. If someone reads the quot and doesan't realise it's a deliberate misquote all kinds of misunderstandings can en sue. I have had enough trouble from people taking what I have said out of context, without needing the additional burden of people taking what I haven't said into account.

Had you quoted me correctly and daid something along the lines of "Surely you meant "My cheesy WS fleet" I would have had no issue with it at all.

The phrase "fixed for you" is used precisely to clarify the joke. It's a common internet meme.

Not everyone, me included, is clued up on the 'common' internet memes.

EDITED for typing mistakes, post whoring not intended.

Now can we try and return to the issue at hand.

So, since Black Omega flights have the Psychic Crew trait, do they just up and die next to Shadow Vessels?

I guess, technically, since fighter flights have 0 crew, losing crew wouldn't affect them... but this just seems odd, since there are people to be killed in those fighters :/

Maybe cause the mind screem effect to cause a -1 CQ against all ships within 6 inches (not just teep ships), with the exception of the Vorlons and other first one races, and a -2 CQ + no Special Actions against telepatic crews? or is no SA too harsh? maybe just the neg 2, as that alone would make SAs difficult.

I'd personally prefer a system of -CQ when within a given distance of a Shadow vessel, with the penalty being greater for mainly psychic crews. It's not as if mundanes were immune to the scream.

I'm totally at a loss for Early EA ideas. Help!

Disclosure: I play Dilgar (primary), Drakh (secondary), and Early EA (tertiary.)

Desperate times call for desperate mesures!
CQ: 8
When facing impossible situations (like during the Earth Minbari war) many captians resorted to raming attacks. You must have less ships on the table then your opponent. Pick a ship of battle PL or higher. Any ship that is no more then 1 PL lower then the target ship (but it may be larger) may attempt to ram it. The ship will get 50% of its move and a singe 45 degree turn. Both players roll an opposed CQ check. If the EA player rolls Equal to or Higher then there opponent then they may ram. Otherwise the ship continues on its previous coarse.

Disclosure: I play Early EA, 3rd age EA, Crusade EA, Minbari, Shadows, Brakiri and ISA.

I think I remember reading somewhere that the last battle at Omelos between the EA/League and the Dilgar did turn into a bit of a ramming-fest towards the end. With the EA caught up in the League's 'enthusiasm'.

Certainly it does seem to fit the Early Years better then the Bonehead. I'd definitely say to have a look at the potential of doing something ramming related instead.

Disclosure: I play Minbari, Vorlons, EA 3rd age, Narn and Centauri.
