Rune Question....

My players are a little stumped about rune integration. the core book says that once a rune a is integrated, it cannot be integrated by anyone else. the question is, can several people find the same rune and integrate it.

Or is there only one of each rune in the world?

The rules were written with the idea in mind that several instances of each Rune exist in the world: you could find an Animal rune here, another one over there, a third under a cow... that sort of thing. Lots of different people can have the Animal Rune integrated, but they each have to find their own 'example', so to speak.

Although now that you mention it, I am intrigued by the idea of a campaign setting where only one of each rune existed. Interesting dynamics, perhaps, especially if rune magic was bumped up in power.

That was my understanding, and this was how I was going to run it.. Would lesson the amount of magic used also.. To make it more interesting, you could be killed/hunted down just for the Rune you possess.

Damn, makes for a damn good campaign...

Check out some of the Apocolapse Runes in the Legendary Heros book. They are pretty good examples of Uniqe and powerfull runes.
