Ruins of Glorantha preview

Just been looking at it and impressed so far. Some nice ideas and well-written too. This may be a MRQ book that I'll get in dead-tree format.

Only the Preview

More confusingly, looking at the upcoming releases, why is Fronela listed as being a Hardback? It is only the same size as the other books on the schedule?
Thanks for the links. I didn't know of it because noone told about it (until this thread it seems).

As to Hard Cover book, there is an explanation in the Conan forum. A big campaign (250 pages) was recently released in softcover for the game and people complained SC was impractical for a book of this size (the book couldn't stay opened for instance). Matt replied he would consider the question for such big books.

This just attest that Chaosium had it all right when they released several booklets in boxed set for their campaigns in the 80's.

Interesting ideas but I think a good review should include the table of contents (as drivethrugh is doing).

Fronela isn't a big book though - according to the website it's 104 pages, the same as Empires, Ruins and Ducks, all of which are Softcover.

I think it isn't the definitive page count. From what I know (not very much) Ruins will be somewhat bigger and Fronela should follow the same pattern as Dara Happa (according to Loz).

'Fronela' which now end-up being smaller than Dara Happa Stirs, owing to schedule constraints. Still goodness-crammed, of course, but fewer scenarios.

What do you exaclty mean by smaller?

DH Stirs was 200 pages. Fronela will be 128(ish). My intention was to have a series of interconnected scenarios set across the region, but time and space constraints meant that I had to cut back.

The Heortland source and adventure book was "Orlanth is Dead".
The Dara Happa source and adventure book was "Dara Happa Stirs".
The Fronela source and aventure book is simply called "Fronela"?

Why not "Fronela Divided" (divided between the forces of the Godlearners, EWF, and the patriots), or "Fronelan (K)Nights" or whatever?
