I would suggest that Mongoose place new accounts on some form of moderation, at least until they've posted a certain number of valid posts. It seems that most of these spambots are simply creating an account to post one message, and probably just never using that account again.

Thank you for the fast acknowledgement. I'm not saying that you have to do so, but I do think that something of this sort would help cut way down on these nuisances. Once an account has a certain number of posts or threads which are actually relevant, you could probably take them off of moderation - I think that if an account has posted, say, twenty-five or fifty times without tripping someone's "scammer" radar, they're either a real person with an interest in the site, or AI has become vastly better than I've seen any evidence of. We may get there someday, but we're not there yet.
