Question on Fleet carriers

The avenger heavy carrier is a Fleet carrier, you can swap your fighters for pods, But what happens when your pods have attacked and conquered a ship? can you still get the pod back on a 5/6+ given that the enemy ship is next to the flight at its time of death it suffers a -1.

You can't recover it as the Pod isn't destroyed, it is simply removed from the table (it is still attached to the ship).

But you can recover all those that were destroyed trying to get to a ship yes?

Any fighter flight that is removed within 30" of the Fleet Carrier gets the recovery roll.

A Breaching Pod counts as if it has the Fighter trait.

I'd have no problems with you making a recovery roll.

Don't see why not, recovered fighters are effectively treated as if they hadn't launched. Fluff-wise, as long as enough (and as ACTA doesn't track individual fighter losses any recovered flight will count as "enough") of the pods made it back you'd likely still have enough troops remaining on them to count as 1pt and any ship's troops that were used to make up the numbers wouldn't drop the ship's troop score enough to lose a point.
