So last week a friend of mine and myself played VAS with aircraft for the first time. We were using the rules out of OOB since it was the most up to date and we had already been working with it to make our fleet rosters and the like as well.
Well a situation came up and we wanted to check and see how it was resolves, and after scouring the downloadable FAQ's and errata I was not able to find and answer.
When there are multiple fighter squadrons in a dogfight, as in one of his units engages a unit of mine and then I bring a second unit in to support because they are out of ammo, how is this resolved? Would we add the Dogfight bonus from both fighter squadrons together, do I roll two dice (or do we both roll two dice) for each squadron (or treat them as two separate dog fights), or is this situation not even possible from rules as written?
The units in question consisted of one flight of Martlets and two flights of Wildcats (Blue on blue exercise and this was really easy math) so you have the baseline of how the situation looked.
Also, the dodge skill of the Fairey Swordfish seems way too good for such a slow moving aircraft. Just had to add that as something I noticed.
Thank you for the help, and if this was already addressed I apologize for bringing it back up again.
