I have been thinking about the populations of the various countries that make up the Young Kingdoms.
In the old Atlas of the Young Kingdoms we have Vilmir and Ilmiora with populations of 4 million and 1.5 million respectively at the time of the Elric Sage(or thereabouts). Loz has provided figures i the RQ Empires book for the same countries at the time just as Lormyr has risen in revolt some 300 years earlier.Vilmir's population is much smaller at 2.25 million and Ilmiora's slightly larger at 1.75 million.
Now, I know that two different authors and two different opinions are at work here but the question, I suppose is, would the populations have increased(perhaps due to the influence of Law) in the intervening 300 years in the Young Kingdoms, would they have remained fairly constant, or would the lack of Melnibonean Lords have led to worldwide anarchy and a vast drop in the population.
