Place your mark on Magnamund!

Priest class's can be generated using the expert in the lone wolf rpg. Priests in magnamund are not the magik using clerics from dnd. If you want them to have magik, add in a few levels of adept.

Anyhow, the book is already at the editors, so hopefully we can see it soon. I can't wait for the shianti sorceror, the vakeros and possibly the vassagonian warlock.

We'll see it soon, as soon as November in fact. Only 3 short months! In the meantime, I'll be busy with the RPG and Darklands books.

Those are the ones I'd really like to see, too.

How does it go?

"GLOR!"?

7. Necromancer (ie KoT-era Roark and Kezoor - I don't see them as the same as Ceners)

Just been reading Jungle of Horrors where it says

Notice of Death

Kezoor the Necromancer

Renegade Shaman of Mogaruith. Leader of the forbidden sect of Dazudskul.

It is hereby proclaimed by lawful authority that in just retribution for vile acts of black sorcery perpetrated throughout the Freelands of Talestria, a bounty of TEN THOUSAND LUNE is offered for the head of Kezoor the Necromancer.

By order of Queen Evaine of Talestria
MS 5060

So I would think his powers are very close to the cenerese.

Vakeros (of course)
Drodorian Mage?
Nadziranim
I'm not too sure about the Shianti sorceror either. Just seams too powerful.

The nadziranim is already given in the darklands book. The right handed spells aren't exactly the way I though they would be, (I was thinking more like an anti-brotherhood mage with similar progression), but heck. Its a very dark class (the dark cultist)...almost too dark for magnamund. A level 15 cultist of xagvash would give even darklords cause to falter, if not run away screaming.

I mean, in a single round not only can the cultist use vermillion swarm, which bypasses all forms of damage reduction and magik resistance, but he can also use vilebolts (as a full attack, thus 4 vilebolt attks in the same round), and use psychic attacks on top of that. When focused on a single character, in any given round, it can be devastating.

The shianti sorc is already in! Wheee! :D Go august and mongoose!

Nadziranim (as I think right handed magic needs to be implemented in the rules as a balance to the left handed magic of Dessi and Toran)
Shadakine Wytch
Order of Herbalish
Cener Druid
Vakeros

I see the preview is up now in the up comming releases section. Kundi Shaman is in, I'm realy looking forward top seeing that.

Winterhawk, the nadziranim and right handed spells are already in. They are in the darlands supp which has been out for around 3 months now.

Yes, the kundi shaman was mentioned in the preview blurb, anyone recall any of their abilities?

More like two months (last week of July). I only got it mid-August. Still, it is out! :D

So, magic of magnamund ISN't a epic level book? if it is, there should be more advancement to summerlending knights and such, well, gotta go! *flies off on Pegasus* Yes, my character really has a pegasus

lvl 9 Summerlending Knight of the realm

It's not epic but I can't help but wonder how they have handled the Shianti Sorcerer does it follow the magician of dessi progression and tack the higher magics on as epic levels? Or does it condense the lesser magics (elder arts) into fewer levels and finish adding the higher magics before level twenty. My guess is it goes epic otherwise no one is going to want to play a magician of Dessi as presented in the main book unless like me you are a stickler for roleplay.

Also rumour has it that August is going to be working on more general epic rules. :D

Winterwolf, the shainti will have elder arts starting at 10level+. He will have mastered the lesser magiks (aka the dessi's powers) at level 10-.

The progression will go something like this imo:

level 1-2 elder art each level
level 3 staff
level 4-5 elder art each level
level 6 something else
level 7-8 elder art each level
level 9 something else
level10 last lesser elder art ( 7 in total)
level 11- 12 greater magik elder art each level
level 13...etc etc

Obviously they wil have other features as well, but nothing we really can say anything about at this time. I am pretty sure the shianti will not have the fates blessing re-roll x/day ability. He will be, however, able to cause the tip of his staff to burst into light, as was stated months ago by august and matt sprange. And hopefully evocation elder art will have a few more things added to it. :)

And yep, few will want to play dessi after this. Its thus up to the narrator; the shianti sorc's are supposed to be rare (as per the core book, even dessi magicians number less than 400 in number). But its a VERY small price to pay IMO, in order to finally have a complete grey star like class, the only thing I thought was missing from one of the best rpg books in the market.

I personally am going to give the magician of dessi a vakeros battlemagic spell every 4 levels, thus 5 spells at level 20. This simulates the fact the magii teach the vakeros (aka ordinary ppl of dessi) their lore and spells. Since the vakeros will be detailed in the book, along with their spells, it should be easy to do. And by only giving 5 spells, it does not really take away much from the vakeros warrior, who will also be able to fight with a sword, and probably have some warrior abilitites of his own.

The end result will be the shianti sorc will be a master of elder arts; and the magician of dessi will know the lesser magiks, have the wizards staff, and have vakeros spells making him more versatile than the shianti sorc.

Also, we will finally be able to generate the Elder Magii of Dessi now (aka rimoah, etc) I always thought they start of as Magicians of dessi, and then after level 20 start getting the greater elder arts, along with the remaining Vakeros spells.
