[Pirates of Drinax] GeDeCo presences

Pyromancer

Mongoose
Is there a list of all GeDeCo presences and projects? It would be helpful to drop little clues when the PCs visit a system where GeDeCo is/was active.

Spoiler Alert

Here's a start to the list, hope it helps.
pg 5 of book 1 has GeDeCo manipulating worlds across the Trojan Reach to develop their plan, so their operations are pretty much omnipresent in terms of agents and agenda.

Pg 53 has a nice summary of the treaty plan, and mentions developing the Reach as a firebreak. So this (to me at least) implies that GeDeCo is developing infrastructure all across the Reach to strengthen the area to slow down an Aslan advance. There are neutral worlds mentioned on the same page, but not listed.

Pg 60 Tech World has a shell company on the planet, so definitely a spot for advanced tech development and production for GeDeCo. Byrni is also mentioned getting massive infrastructure upgrades from GeDeCo, as well as ships.

Pg 71: GeDeCo controls the government of Dolberg.. This strikes me as odd since psychic whales are the government of Dolberg, but it's what is written.
pg 72 mentions agents everywhere in the Reach

Pg 98: Tech world was founded by GeDeCo, and has an operation on Pandora since they gave treatment to curry favour there with a politician there.

Page 102 says that GeDeCo is the fourth power in the region, behind the Imperium, The Aslan and more influential than the Floriani.
Pages 171-173 give the background of their activities, including Theev and the psychohistory plan. (No mention of Trantor or Asimov, I was expecting an NPC named Seldon)

So you could place a fueling station in every trade port and have a GeDeCo shell company selling fuel and offering traffic control services and trading space. This would allow them to collect the movement of all the ships travelling along the trade routes and give a good idea of their cargo. That is a good place to start. Any low tech world would have a TED king and a GeDeCO mining company stripping out valuable elements under a monopoly.

The Chris Jackson short story “Wetwork” has a very different take on this. Was a fun short read.

Reach Adventure 5: The Borderland Run, page 12-13-more, says GeDeCo owns the spaceports at Exe and Falcon, and "more or less controls Sperle".

GeDeCo is also "a silent partner" in the privately operated starport at Exocet (The Borderland, page 23).

GeDeCo also tried to establish a starport on Ergo, but the factions on the planet started a nuclear war over the control of it.

So far, this is the map of all the mentioned GeDeCo involvements:

Add Arunisiir (Arunisiir Port Incorporated "is still required to pay a proportion of its profits to GeDeCo", see Borderland Profile: Arunisiir. pages 6-12), Vume and -maybe- Palindrome (The Theev Cluster, pages 5 and 14) to the map.

yep, one of those is in the Ihatei camp (Book 1, Encounter 33, page 87) too.

According to https://wiki.travellerrpg.com/, GeDoCo also has facilities on Acrid and Tanith in The Borderlands subsector, Runs the spaceport on Oghma, on Benaria in the Pax Rulin subsector, Kytiyrlo in Hkea'as, and if your players travel a long way, Tobia as well as Crescent, Szirp, Dustpan, and Viceroy in the Menorial subsector, coreward (north) of the Florian League.

Marduk is missing in the list, cf. Marooned on Marduk. Basically the whole adventure hook is about GeDeCo owning the port.

  • Acrid - the only source for that is in the first edition book on Aslan by Mongoose (p. 203) and it remains unclear if this is still to be considered Mongoose canon.
  • Tanith - the only source for that is in the first edition book on Aslan by Mongoose (p. 203) and it remains unclear if this is still to be considered Mongoose canon.
  • Oghma - confirmed by the core rulebook p. 238.
  • Berengaria - a world called "Benaria" does not exist in OTU, but the wiki mentions GeDeCo on Berengaria, though I couldn't find any sources
  • Khtiyrlo - a world called "Kytiyrlo" does not exist, but Khtiyrlo is home to clan Tiykhisto of the Aslan, who trade heavily with GeDeCo (PoD 2, p. 203); GeDeCo is not mentioned running the port, though.
  • Tobia - I could not find sources for a presence of GeDeCo here in the wiki or otherwise.
  • Crescent - I could not find sources for a presence of GeDeCo here in the wiki or otherwise.
  • Szirp - I could not find sources for a presence of GeDeCo here in the wiki or otherwise.
  • Dustpan - I could not find sources for a presence of GeDeCo here in the wiki or otherwise.
  • Viceroy - I could not find sources for a presence of GeDeCo here in the wiki or otherwise.
  • Palindrome - either found in the PDF on the Theev cluster or its reprint in Drinaxian Companion p. 46
  • Vume - either found in the PDF on the Theev cluster or its reprint in Drinaxian Companion p. 37.

And by extension, Argona. I believe Revolution on Acrid indicates that the same corporations operate both planets.

Acrid and Argona are PRQ, an entirely different evil mini-megacorporation.

From Pirates of Drinax, Book 2: "GeDeCo’s headquarters is on Vorito, in Tlaiowaha subsector and perilously close to the Hierate, but they have major facilities on Tech-World, Tanith, Acrid, Argona, Byrni and Falkenberg."

I knew I had read it somewhere. We can assume that Falkenberg was meant to be Pourne.

But Revolution on Acrid is all about PRQ. I think there's some inconsistency there.

We played Acrid as PRQ controls the planetary mining operation (the only settlement of on the planet), and GeDeCo owns the starport.

That works. We can assume any decent starport in the Trojan Reach was either built or operated by GeDeCo. Or both.
I should never have written "evil mini-megacorporation" though. All I can see now are sharks, lasers and stunted clones...

My group hasn't done anything with Acrid yet but skim its gas giant and get pulled over by the PRQ cops in their tricked out SDB but I—on memory—had GeDeCo in the role of Starport Control, so now it's canon in my campaign.

I believe it's Falcon, but can't remember the source  ...

Ah-ha! Thank you. That would also make sense but for phonetic reasons instead of literary. :D I would prefer that it was Falcon (which is indeed described as having a GeDeCo-created starport in other materials). Pourne seems to have achieved its A-class starport on its own, which plays better in my opinion.

Thanks for the help so far, I will update the map shortly.

And while we are at it: What are the holdings of PRQ in the area?
