Yes Paul, I've used that page as well as the other links found within the main site page. It has an impressive amount of data on ships and their weapons. Thanks for posting it here as many new VaS players can sink their teeth into some good stuff there.

Is this an unfriendly forum?

Sorry, not meant at all in a condescending way . I was just reading on another forum of a game designer and a fan going back and forth restating what appeared to be mutually flaming comments that only were cleared up by further postings. I hope my "further posting" here has a similar effect, heh. Popping into a topic and leaving a quick message before seeing various ways a conversational comment can be received is the main weakness of text conversing on the net. My "personal" context didn't leak through in my earlier comment as I've used the site you suggested a great deal over the last few years. Instead of just not typing anything at all, I was instead trying to indicate to those that were not aware of it before just how much of a valuable site your suggestion indeed was. You see, it was a complement (really) and I did not perceive that my choice of words would have a negative effect. Seeing your comment and then rereading my words, I see my blunder. At least now others may make an extra effort to keep that link as a reference, which was my intent. I really do like the way you responded to my "attack" by at least sending over an "unarmed ambassador" rather than firing a broadside in return, lol. You have me at a disadvantage, sir :D .

For anyone else scanning this topic, bookmark this page as it is a great piece of research material as I've found many, many times and I thank Paul for offering it.

Was that better?

Your a gentleman. :D I thought I was on the FOW forum for a minute there.

At least I didn't say anything in another language about your mother (only funny if you are a fan of Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy btw). I'd hate to have us both swallowed by a small dog.

It's been referenced in other topics here, but a very good resource for the Imperial Japanese Navy is http://www.combinedfleet.com/, with the understanding before you go there that the "Furushita" pages are a "what-if" for ships and battles that never happened. I didn't catch it immediately, but the term "Furushita" is a hint in itself about the enclosed content. The balance of the site is a wealth of information of "real-fact" (in Babylon 5 speak  ). Also said before, but http://www.hazegray.org/ and http://www.battleship.org/ and another good one I can't think of right now.
