Occultist Questions

I posted these questions to the Rulesmasters a month ago and got no response, so I thought I'd try the Conan forum.

One of my characters is an Occultist, the Scholar/Thief multiclass from Hyboria's Finest. I want to take the Sneak Attack Spell variant ability and Skill Mastery as one of my Thief special abilities.

1. Does Sneak Attack Spell apply to only ONE spell I choose, or all that meet the prerequisites? As written, it sounds like it might apply to all. That seems a bit overpowered.

2. Can I choose a Sneak Attack Spell as one of my Sneak Attack Styles?

3. The number of skills chosen for Skill Mastery is 3+Int. Modifier. Does this mean I can add a new skill whenever my Int Modifier increases?

What are your thoughts?

1) Keep in mind that variants are optional. It works on any chosen spell that requires Touch or Evil Eye (unless the GM rules otherwise), and the recipient must be flat-footed or denied his Dex bonus. Just as a sneak attack must choose a specific weapon, sneak attack spell must choose a specific spell.

2) Yes.

3) I would say yes, but basically I would leave that to the GMs decision.

I was thinking of making Mind Reading my sneak attack spell. It will give the character a silent and invisable ranged attack that extracts information as it inflicts damage. Would also make him the Interrogator From Hell. You WILL tell him everything he wants to know!!! :twisted: For interrogation, Sneak Attack Style might make it too damaging. The victim could fail a massive damage role before he's done questioning them. So much for Scorcery not being powerful!
