NPC Hit Points

on page 146/147 of the Legend Core Rulebook it states that for NPCs using general hit points, "If General Hit Points are reduced to a negative amount equal to the Critical Wound rating or more death is instantaneous. In our example, if the foe sustains 14 or more points of damage, he dies automatically."

Is this a mistake? As written the example should be "... if the foe sustains 7 or more points of damage, he dies automatically." Unless, it's intended to mean that if general hit points are reduced to a negative amount equal to the NPC's general hit point rating. In which case the example is correct.

That section is very poor IMO.

A mook starting with 14 General HP automatically dies when his HP are reduced to -7 (critical wound score as a negative). The example figures aren't correct (at least in the MRQ2 rulebook) as the text doesn't state what the creatures HP are when dealt the 14 points of damage. If at 0HP it only needs another 7 points of damage to suffer a fatal wound. If at full HP it needs 21 points of damage, the 14 would only reduce it to a serious wound.

I really thought that would have been caught in the editing process. Tsk Tsk
