New ships in 2nd ed?

at long range, it ain't possible unless the oponent is a doofus... wait, youv'e been playing tank haven't you ;-)

but then you are sacrificing the ability to target somethign with your boresight, unless you oponent kindly lines himself up...
wait, you have been playing tank havent' you (tank is going to shout at me)

Darn you Hiff for taking my Name in Vain!!! I don't often use my Marathons, I like the model and the stats are nice but I find them to be expensive hyperions

Maybe the Marathon would be better if it had a good support ship, somethign as fast to draw some fire away.

add a small (say 4AD) missile wrack to it, as it looks like it has one anyway. at least that was my suggestion (possibly suggested to me by hiffano).

it is supposed to be follow on from the warlock, which as missiles :-)

I know that in S&P 43, they mention the Marathon is getting lowered to "Battle" (which is where it's listed currently), did it stay at Battle, or did it get dropped to Raid?

Thanks for all the great insight, though, guys?

No official word on a larger Shadow Ship sculpt?

So, with the confirmation announcement in S&P47 of the "disappearance" of the Anti-Fighter trait from weapons, has there been any change made to weapons that were once Anti-Fighter?

They were great for taking out fighters, sure, but also, in some instances, great for targeting capital ships with dodge - like White Stars. And, now it seems that I won't be able to do that, unless they get in the Anti-Fighter trait range.

Notably, my Shadow Scouts were great because they had Anti-Fighter and an 8" range.

The majority of the Anti-fighter guns are being dropped completely in exchange for the trait. There are a few that are staying but these are normally fairly obvious as secondary weapons (rather than the tertiary anti-fighter ones) such as the Minbari Fusion Cannon.

There is a replacement trait - Accurate (which bears no resemblance to the Accurate of the unrevised first edition).

Awesome. Suddenly my games vs. White Stars were looking less appealing.

Great news that they replaced the trait.
