Narn, a major race?

I disagree that the Ka'Bin'Tak isn't any good. 2 beams forward 2 more primary weapons forward and 24AD from secondary weapons in the front. plus command bonus ,6 flights, and 140 HP, and shuttles. What else do you want the kitchen sink? As for not having the AJP or flight computers the fluff says it is a rebuild of the Bin'Tak not a new ship like the G'Vrahn so maybe they couldn't afford to upgrade everything and went for the firepower. It also tries to perform 3 roles that of battleship, carrier and planetary assault. I think it can do all three well.

I do think the G'Vrahn is a strong conteder for best War level ship but I would have no problem using the Ka'Bin'Tak in a big enough game.

I don't think the G'Vrahn is necessarily better than the Bin'Tak. If you get into the sides or rear of a G'Vrahn, it's...going to get hurt. It has excellent forward power, but very little in the sides and practically nothing in the rear to cover it.
Now the Bin'Tak just has guns everywhere, at least two sets. Particle arrays AND Pulse Cannons, plus a rear boresight.
The advantage the G'Vrahn has over the Bin'Tak is obvious; Speed and agility. two 45's give it that crucial Boresight ability and a fast turning radius, whereas the Bin'tak is...a dreadnought that lumbers along with sheer death.
If anything, the G'Vrahn kind of reminds me of an upgraded Var'Nic in practice; Fast, maneuverable, and able to singularly cut targets out of space, but extremely weak in other arcs. Not that 10AD of Pulse cannons is bad.

Convoy Duty.
Narn player took a Ka'Bin'Tak to defend a convoy against the Brakiri, along with two Ka'Tans. Was extremely effective in disabling and subsequently destroying Two Kaliva's and a Halik, and crippling another Halik so it had to run off the board.

You'd probably be better off with two Bin'Taks than one Ka'Bin'Tak. While the Ka'Bin'Tak has more firepower than a Bin'Tak it's not that much better. Both the Bin'Tak and G'Vrahn have a role. The Ka'Bin'Tak unfortunately doesn't since it's going to be better to split that Armageddon point.

As for the G'Vrahn vs. Bin'Tak it's a style thing. I like the maneuverability and nasty forward firepower of the G'Vrahn but the Bin'Tak is still an excellent ship. Odd that the Narn can deploy a surprisingly mobile and well armed fleet of high priority ships via the G'Vrahn and Var'Nic.
