Here's my uwp generating method that puts a damper on weird uwp's and 'odd' tech/pop/physical characteristics. Its not perfect and some strange stuff gets through, but not so often....just change what doesn't 'feel' right.

its Word6 .doc made in openOffice2
and covers mostly tech/starport generating based on pop and social profiles of a world from Pocket Empires or World Builder's Handbook. Its not 'standard' stuff.

The advanced cultural stuff needed to generate your social UWP numbers is probably more than Mongoose is willing to put in the basic book, but it might be good to keep this stuff in mind for the "scouts" book on advanced star system generation.

I am hoping that the Scouts book will include a lot of info like what is in Pocket Empires and GT:First In or Worldbuilders Handbook (none of which I have... )

I particularly like your idea (and generation method) for calculating Population. Very ingenious and easy to put in a simple computer program (or even Excel!).

thanks for the welcome..and I'm glad you like it.

The advanced social stuff...well...I am not sure if I can type in a fair section of someone else's work legally, so I decided to err on the safe side.

Maybe I'll finish up a spreadsheet for world building based on it and other ideas.
