My Italian fleet finaly painted

I wanted something for the Arado - I've left my book at a pals for a week and I can't remember if the Arado was in the German section for planes or not...

Here's some of my Italian fleet - in 1:6000, so not so mighty!
CAP-AERO 1:1250 Arados. I need more!

aaah well, I guess I'll make something up and wait till the supliment to be corrected.
For a fleeting moment I thought I remembered seeing it in the German section, but I must have dreamt it all.

I was hoping to use them for attack as well as observation.
With twin 20mm canons and bombs I thought they might be useful.
I'll base the few I have up as observation aircraft and they'll work for my German navy when it arrives.

Now to get some Italian aircraft to support my fleet!

They didn't tend to be used that way, given the small numbers involved (generally operated alone). They may have been useful for shooting up merchantmen and encouraging them to heave to and surrender, but you'd be loathe to even have a go at a destroyer in a '196.

I think you're right there.
They'll all become loners now, single based recce aircraft.
I've got no German ships to launch them though!

Just ordered 50 various Italian 'planes from MM....

Need something to take on my Seafires, swordfishes and Fulmars.

No Arado listed in the book mate.

Yes it is - its treated as a generic observation aircraft.

Should have made myself clearer. I use Arado196,s but only in recon mode as there are no specific stats for them and recon is pretty much what they were designed hence being tagged with the generic recon stat

I was going to flip through the aircraft stats in the book to find something similar to the Italian stuff, but my pal has gone to Beltring.
Might give me time to get these Italian planes painted if they get delivered quickly.

I'll have a look sometime next week and start a thread on Italian aircraft stats, see how close we can get to the official versions when they are released.
