My Italian fleet finaly painted

I fought this fleet last night. The ships are nice, and the large torpedo bombers are really even nicer in the flesh than in the pics, really nice.

my stuff is all ghq 1/2400. Nice but the wrong scale.The Legend

Wow man nice fleet. I've been collecting 1/2400 ships through My Little Ship company as I was thinking of using GHQ's ships so I can have more detail in the ships but these may persuade me to Navwar it! Nice one.

The aircraft bases are made from GW round bases, I used milliput to fill in the gap and stucj the wire in, I then put a 2p piece under it to give some weight, top stop them falling over.
The top of the base (as well as ship bases) are painted blue, then a coate of Valejo Sea stuff (atlantic blue) was put on, this was then painted in lighter blues, I found for this scale the clear finish of the sea effect was not quite right, hence the reason I painted it
I also have a German fleet, just got to finish the sea bases

Not all the ships are in the rule book, (none of the aircraft are) but I am lucky that one of my friends is a playtester for the new fleet lists, so I got to try them, they are a good fleet, but lack intiative, get a -1 if using Italian airforce as they used to hate each other (Italian airforce and Navy)
I can't comment on the new suppliment, as I am not directly involved but I belwave it will be out soon, unsure what will be in it, but the rest of the Italian fleet will be.
I like them as they are colourful, I also have a german fleet but I have not finished there bases yet.
I am also lucky that other club members have all the other fleets so we can play any theatre
I am going to do a scenario based on the Italian's and German's tkaing Malta, maybe this time they will not turn away!!!!! If any good I may submit it to monngoose

We meet on a Wednesday night from 630/7pm till 11pm, We are playing VAS this Wednesday doing a Pacific battle, playtesting the new aircraft rules

I did not get a copy, but they are definatly in the new suppliment, also the aircraft rules are changing slightly I believe
