the boxes are lined with magnetic plastic
Magnetic plastic? Is that like transparent aluminium?

You mean transparent aluminum, not transparent aluminium.
Nope I am British. Unless it is a trade mark, it would still be spelled like that over here.

@Locutus nope, they spell it wrong too!

Indeed you are British Burger, as am I, however whoever spelt it in the scripts of ST and pronounced it on screen said aluminum, in the American prononciation. Since it is an entirely fictional substance, I treat it as a proper noun and as such use the given American spelling.

Well, Ok, maybe I'm overgeneralizing but I see a lot o pics where sharlins are without the guns and Primus are without antennas. Or maybe because I dont like them that way and that's why they stuck in my head. >.<

I/we use sheet magnets on the bottom of the storage boxes. The ships bases have sheet metal on them so when in the boxes the ships stand up pretty much by themselves. As long as you don't get too energetic with them, the ships remain upright. I'll try to take some pics later if you like

American's spell everything wrong anyway...

Who cares if it is closer to how the word's pronounced! It just not a proper english word without random extraneous vowels thrown in and e and r reversed...

:P

Nick

(Disclaimer: American's do in fact spell the word 'Everything' correctly, before anyone tries that one out...)

Out of curiosity, what source do you use for the sheet metal (and sheet magnets, for that matter)?

This is the world, little brother. The sheet metal can be had at most big box hardware places at reasonable prices. The magnets can be had at amazingmagnets.com and other such sources. As for the Rock, I've not been there in so long that I couldn't point you in a direction...

They're, um, they're working on making it a real thing, you know. Like transporters (they can move an entire electron 100 yards now)...

Oh, and my 2 cents goes to Sabol as well.

The downside of Sabol is that it's a soft case. I don't know who makes it, but there's a hard case that's very similar...
