Ok, I'm goiing to change my vote to metal....
An hour before the Antwerp tournament of 27/08/2006 began we were setting up tables. My fleet was in a box on a table wich needed to be moved. So the storeowner's wife took up my box without realising that the bottom is loose............... BAAAAANG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
All my ships hit the floor... Only two of eight came out undamaged, all the rest had droken of from teir base, two had their base broken on top and bottom!
Until now I never realy had problems with plastic bases, but this was almost a disaster...
Luckily the presence of glue made my ships battle worthy before the first game (one olympus broke of again, but was reglued the same day)
Now I'm thinking of aquiring metal bases and replacing the glued plastic ones. :?
Well, there was a poeitic justice that day... I did win the tournament and a nice new EA fleet box..... 8) All ends well
PS: It was a stupid accident, and I didn't get angry. But it still was a blow to me...
