Hi guys,

Lone Wolf fans are a loyal and long-suffering bunch. Well, your waiting is due to be rewarded. Stand by for an announcement. . .

Im still waiting for ther Holy Grail announcement to STILL be made... not ANOTHER one <sob>..

I know some hot LW gossip, but it might not be this gossip, and I don't think I'm supposed to know it so I'll keep my mouth shut.

OK then, what is known already...
  • The Sommerlund sourcebook is written and just waiting to be published.
  • There's a revised version of the rulebook coming out in France - with illustrations by Gary Chalk! The revisions are being fed back to Mongoose; now what about the illustrations...?
  • In Italy, a special version of the combined three first LW gamebooks, adjusted for being played by an RPG party, is coming out. This could be a deal that is possible because the gamebooks are still in print there, but maybe they can also go in print elsewhere...?
OK. That was some speculation too.

I don’t know if this is allowed here, as it is some kind of advertisement. I will delete ASAP if it is not allowed.

For French-speaking and/or Gary Chalk fans: retail price for the French book with Gary Chalk’s illustrations is 40 euros (50 USD) and pre-order is 25 euros (30 USD). This is an almost 40% discount.

Application form (PDF) This is in French, but if there is demand for it, I can translate, just notify me (comment, PM, e-mail, IM).

Hi guys,

I just have to go through some paperwork and put a signature to things, but I have a feeling you will be bouncing up and down.

As for the Holy Grail, even I cannot believe it has gone on this long. . .

Just to be on the safe side (and to be one of the first to do it) I'll just start bouncing right about now and continue until you can release the news 8)

So signatures? That's probably a good sign, packing up LoneWolf stuff in stock into bundles would be great but not as good as new stuff. But most likely that wouldn't need any signing by Mr Sprange.

So this means we probable will see new stuff and not just one or two books but a real opener for a series of new releases? That would be great. :!:

For a while I had thought about Mongoose using the new RuneQuest system for LoneWolf, but the re-release of the LW core rulebook made me disregard that option as a very probable one.

Come on, msprange, please be so kind to give us just a little bit more information! :D

officially, as far as I was telled by one of the editors, this book will be first of a serie of solo-adventures, with quick RPG rules and everything re-translated and adapted.. so this would be a different product than the normal game-books.. that's how they avoided the problem of the rights for the gamebooks being hold by another editor (which however does not pubblish any of the gamebooks by now)...

this are the specifics of the tome which will be available tomorrow at a gaming con in Lucca:
164 pages
black and white
tradepaperback

begins with rules, than the 3 gamebooks, than 20 pages about Sommerlund in MS5050 and some new rules.

Summerlund, Durenor and Kaltenland (most probable also Wastelands) color map on a separete A3 sheet(double size than a normal sheet)

24,95 euro

I have heard rumours of the French edition and maybe something else.

New LW stuff might see me add it to my expanding Mongoose collection.
