I only suggest Weaponskill Dagger because of the Helghast fight Bk1, like you mention Sommerswerd is powerful enough to have little problems Bks 2-5 and you can pick up Weaponmastery Sword at Bk 6.
Hunting is useful for keeping space in Backpack (less Meals needed), occasionally bonus to important Random Number rolls and I think saves your life Bk 2 by warning about Gnadurn.
What do you need Sixth Sense for in Bk1 now that Banedon can be found without it?
Disciplines are very much personal choice and I am a strong believer in picking skills because you feel that's what your Kai would have rather than Gamesmanship/picking the ones you know will make an adventure easier. THAT's Roleplaying!
Reading your reply it seems you think that Special Items that are weapons are carried under Weapons, they are not: "Weapons" (max 2) implies normal/non-magical weapons, it DOES include the Magnakai +1CS Weapons in Bk1 at 66 and 381 the Bronin Warhammer +1CS you find after fighting the Yawsath at Taunar Bk 6 (you must avoid Archery Tournament - 5, 210, 63, 162, 343, 112, 24, 276. Nexus to retrieve 'it', avoid EP loss vs Roark's Summonation, avoid -1EP in water and opens Sewer Door - yes other skills more useful but you have CS/EP bonus from Fire & Spirit Circles for Kimah and Solaris too for Chaos Master). The only +1CS weapon that isn't a Weapon, and therefore a Special Item, appears in Grey Star the Wizard World of Lone Wolf Bk 1 - a Jewelled Dagger +1CS it does not seem magical so it doesn't fit the Weapons-are-+1CS-or-less-rule. In Bk28 you can obtain a Chai Spear +1CS, also carried under "Weapons".
I'm digressing, basically any weapon of magical/unusual origin that gives a better than +1CS bonus, even if just against only some opponents, is a Special Item and DOES NOT count as one of the two weapons you can carry: You can have Sommerswerd, Copper Studded Bullwhip, Jewelled Mace, Dagger of Vashna, Helshezag and Silver Oak Bow AND two normal Weapons!
Jewelled Mace gives +5CS vs Dhorgaan only in Bk 5 253, the only other place it is of any use is to rescue Praag from the ice in Bk15 where it gives +1 to the Random Number more than Sommerswerd (plus I use it vs Lencian Crusader because I prefer knocking him out to killing him). You can find it in the palace at 35 if you were captured or 281 if you saved Oede and gace it to the Valexer. It is not that useful. No you do not need to surrender to be captured - Mauok's men will get you after the Herbmistress if you do not have Limbdeath. It makes the adventure longer
