Liati, anybody cut that ridiculous nose off?

Liati, anybody cut that ridiculous nose off and replaced it with the front of a Vorchan?
Its not something i'd attempt, i don't have the skills.
I can honestly say that i'll never buy the Liati, its just plain nosey :lol:
 
I have tried cutting a gun off sticking it under the nose and using a new tail (Octurion tail fin) - which I like (others less so) but I am no model maker.... :)
 
Well for what its worth I cut the tips of the gun barrels off..drilled them out and fitted telescoping brass tube pieces in place of what I cut off...little thin "thingies" never stay straight and brass tube and various sized staright wire is the key...I airbrushed the thing a deep purple-red with a burnished gold highlights - then "antiqued" the gold with chesnut ink. I then used a "metalizer" Burnt Gun Metal for a few spots, polished those with a Q-tip and made the x-pattern of black and gray on the base to mark out the 90 degree angles. Lastly, I used the Testors decal making kit to make my own emblem for the fantail - I scanned the Centauri symbol that comes on the box of an Octurian (looks like the NBC pheasant fantail) and slapped that on....bottom line it looks VERY sinister. I got my but kicked by an EA friend of mine and the only redeming thing was the Liati took an absolute beating and soaked up a googleplex of shooting before it died gloriously...he hates the thing now...NO WAY should it be WAR...I had lighted up the Tombship of my Necrons...perhaps I'll get another Liati and light the 2 guns up on that...now to come up with a cool name.....and nope I'll not cut off its nose (to spite its face? ) heh heh...I'll try to get a photo of it on soon...Boomer :wink:

i have tried this befor i build my current liati version...you know.
it looks...hmmm..how i say...ugly. :twisted:

I assure you... I know what the Soviet Union is/was... but in '93 I was 6... so yeah, it was before my time (you old geezers :wink: ).

I do recall the Fight Club reference, though.

Prob Cos it has dodge and because the Liati is not a very good War choice............... A Battle level version be much better. :)
 
Not to mention the Centauri don't exactly "do" stealth. It's like complaining that the Marathon doesn't have stealth because the Oracle does.
