It would still take him half his POW+CON in melee rounds to die. That's about a minute for average people. It's very frustrating to my party sorceror who never gets to animate dead enemies until after the fight.
Yes. Unfortunately. Had a player recently chewed in half by a nasty beasty and had numerous opportunities to save his skin with his 5 hero points but he only remembered about them when needing to roll to avoid instant death. He needed 05 or less, I think it was and failed this roll 5 times when he could have got the beast to reroll the 01 critical (causing max damage and ignore armour CM) or caused a glancing blow. Anyway, he died, the plonker..... :?
