Lentuli Subsector

A question for the grognards.

We know that during the Ziru Sirka the Empty Quarter was known as Gushgus Sector. My question is, what was the Lentuli Subsector named? We know that it was the Marhaban Subsector during the Rule of Man, but what about before, or has that not been "recorded" so it's open for creation?

I am not aware of any official material on this sector. Take the original map and select a decent world to be the namesake and go with it.

I have a map of charted space with all of the sector names I could find in canon sources. It's on a computer that I can't easily use because I'm putting new floors in my office, but I think the Ziru Sirka name for Empty Quarter is the only other canon alternate name.

I haven't seen a lot of alternate names for subsectors; what is the source for "Marhaban"?

Marhaban would likely be its first name in the Human era, as the Newts would have been the most significant inhabitants, and Marhaban is the name of their homeworld. Before the Vilani arrived there would be no name since they brought both jump drive and the sector/subsector mapping scheme with them.

The Terrans/Solomani would have needed a good reason to change it. While "we're renaming Vilani stuff because we won" might be a good enough reason, the subsector being named for the local significant Minor Race is a good basis for naming for both the Vilani and the Terrans.
